All of my careers have been closely related to electronics or communications; my first career was in broadcasting,
my second in telecommunications, and my third also in telecommunications.
I worked in radio as a disk jockey during college to earn tuition. After graduation from Southern Illinois University with a degree in journalism, I
started as a reporter in TV news.
After a few years I reached a goal of anchoring the news, and it was at the
ABC-TV station in Cincinnati, Ohio. These are two of the old magazine covers I saved from the mid-1970's.
Moving on to a new career, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979. Another of my life
goals had been to work for the Bell System, which I did for 20 years as an engineer and manager,
retiring in 1999.
Having been involved
in the Internet in various ways since it's inception, I worked for a local internet service provider
for 3 years, and then started my own ISP.
IHateToWait.com,LLC is a wireless internet
company serving the southeast suburbs of Denver, using the latest wireless technologies.
In 2010 I was lucky enough to find a buyer and my company was taken over, leaving us free to retire for real.
